Saturday: Rv 11:4-12; Ps 144:1, 2, 9-10; Lk 20:27-40
Sunday: Ez 34:11-12, 15-17; Ps 23:1-2, 2-3, 5-6; 1 Cor
15:20-26, 28; Mt 25:31-46
R. (1) The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
In verdant pastures he gives me repose.
Beside restful waters he leads me;
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me in right paths
for his name's sake.
You spread the table before me
in the sight of my foes;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Only goodness and kindness follow me
all the days of my life;
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD
for years to come.

SAINT OF THE WEEK
- November 25th. St. Catherine of Alexandria.
Tradition has it that she was a Christian of noble birth, living in
the 4th. century, who declared herself a Bride of Christ, refused
to marry the Emperor and successfully argued her case against fifty
wise men sent to convince her of the error of her ways. She was
tortured on a wheel (hence the Catherine Wheel of firework
displays) but the wheel broke apart and she was ultimately
beheaded. The cult of St. Catherine centres on the famous monastery
at the foot of Mount Sinai which bears her name. Although scholars
maintain that none of this story is true.(and she was indeed
removed from the revised Roman Calendar in 1969), she enjoyed
immense popularity thanks to the influence of the Crusaders and the
widely distributed medieval "Golden Legend" with its lives of
saints. She was the patron of, among others, wheelwrights and
philosophers; in England alone there are even now nearly 40 sets of
medieval wall-paintings of her life.

RPI Publishing; Revised edition (February 1994)
-
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0941405443/ref=noism/christianspiritu/
This book has taken me and a group of struggling addicts and
co-addicts down the raod to recovery. Each step has reading and
related scripture to help you through the pain of honestly
answering the questions . As a group tool I have read no better. A
great study guide for anyone who wants to honestly take a look at
themselves and began the spiritual journey of change.

JOKE OF THE WEEK
- First Assignment
A rookie police officer was out for his first ride in a cruiser
with an experienced partner. A call came in telling them to
disperse some people who were loitering.
The officers drove to the street and observed a small crowd
standing on a corner. The rookie rolled down his window and said,
"Let's get off the corner, people."
A few glances, but no one moved, so he barked again, "Let's get off
that corner...NOW!" Intimidated, the group of people began to
leave, casting puzzled stares in his direction.
Proud of his first official act, the young policeman turned to his
partner and asked, "Well, how did I do?"
"Pretty good," chuckled the verteran policemen, "especially since
this is a bus stop!"
