MESSAGE OF THE DAY
"I want, O my Beloved, at each beat of my heart to renew my
offering to You an infinite number of times, until the shadows
having disappeared I may be able to tell You of my love in an
eternal face to face."
- St. Therese Lisieux -
(A Saint's deepest desire! Pray the grace that it might become
your own as well.)

SCRIPTURE READINGS
http://www.nccbuscc.org/nab/
Rv 18:1-2, 21-23; 19:1-3, 9a; Ps 100:1b-2, 3, 4, 5; Lk 17:
11-19
R. (Rev. 19: 9a) Blessed are they who are called to the wedding
feast of the Lamb.
Sing joyfully to the LORD, all you lands;
serve the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful song.
Know that the LORD is God;
he made us, his we are;
his people, the flock he tends.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
his courts with praise;
Give thanks to him; bless his name.
For he is good:
the LORD, whose kindness endures forever,
and his faithfulness, to all generations.

GOSPEL MEDITATION
- from "Daily Bread"
http://www.preacherexchange.com/daily_bread.htm
"And now bless the God of all, who has done wondrous things on
earth."
We thank and praise God, whose blessings we have so bountifully
received, and respond to God's generosity by sharing it with
others. We might invite an elderly, lonely neighbor to share our
holiday meal or bring Thanksgiving dinner to a shut-in, or spend
part of our holiday serving meals at a homeless shelter. (If it's
too late to do these things for Thanksgiving, plan on Christmas!)
Or it might mean learning to downsize, reuse and recycle, or
becoming involved in programs that will help earth's abundance to
be shared justly and equitably by all God's beloved children.
"Lord, teach me to thank you as you deserve by helping to provide
for the needs of others."

NOTES FROM A CLASSICAL WORK
- "Imitation of Christ," by Thomas A. Kempis
The Disciple
Although some seek the glory that comes from another. I will
seek that
which comes from God alone. All human glory, all temporal honor,
all
worldly position is truly vanity and foolishness compared to Your
everlasting glory. O my Truth, my Mercy, my God, O Blessed
Trinity, to
You alone be praise and honor, power and glory, throughout all the
endless ages of ages.
